Pepsico inventors have developed a thick carbonated beverage with floating bits of "processed plant products."
As revealed in a patent application (2012/0034351) published last week, Pepsico has been developing a drink with "soft jelly texture than enhances the fun experience of drinking a beverage." The jelly texture keeps little floating "inclusions" in place, "suspended uniformly within the beverage."
These inclusions include, without limitation, gel beads, fruit pieces, seeds, or processed plant products ranging in size between 0.1 mm to 10.0 mm.
Pepsico intends the beverage to be "drinkable using a straw," if at all.
