Nike received a patent this week on women's shoes with swappable heels. The patent (8,112,906) illustrates a system with three interchangeable heels: a casual heel (116), an air-cushioned athletic heel (118), and a "kitten heel" (120).
Each of the heels slides backward onto the shoe, where it is held in place by a locking tab (112). So the wearer can commute to work in a low heel and switch to a higher heel in the office.
Plus I always had a homeroom and all the paperwork that entails.
